I don’t know about you but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching the Olympics over the past two weeks! I love hearing the stores of the athletes. Many of them have had to fight their way through life, facing tragedy and overcoming obstacles. They’ve fought for years to make their dream of competing at the Olympics, or even winning a medal, a reality! How could we not cheer for them after hearing their stories?
Much like these athletes, many of us face hard financial times. We have insurmountable debts and creditors keep calling and calling! Many days we feel like giving up! Does this sound familiar?
Although I may not have heard your personal story, I want to cheer you on and encourage you to push through these difficult days. Your debt didn’t come about overnight (more than likely) so it’s going to take some time and hard work before it’s going to go away. It may look like financial freedom is years away, and it might be, but keep your eye on the prize and you’ll get there, just like these Olympic athletes.
Set yourself up for success by making small goals along this journey to financial freedom. Surround yourself with friends and family along the way that will cheer you on as you pay off each debt! (This will not only encourage you but it will give you some accountability.)
If you’ve been working on paying off your debt for a while and feel like giving up, I encourage you to push through this slump. I promise that all of your hard work will be worth it when you get to your end goal and have financial freedom. If you’ve yet to start your journey to financial freedom, what are you waiting for? Why not get started today?
What’s been your biggest challenge in paying off your debt?
