1. Pack a Picnic
Grab a picnic basket and a blanket, add a few sandwiches, salads or whatever your heart desires, and head to the park or a local pond. If you want to be uber romantic, add in some candles (don’t forget the matches) and your favorite beverages. (I recommend sparkling grape juice!)
2. Date Nights at Local Restaurants
There are quite a few restaurants in my area that have specials one night a the week - they even call it Date Night. They’ll serve an appetizer, 2 entrees and dessert for a special price. Check for restaurants in your area that have date nights!
3. Look for Online Deals
Keep an eye out for deals at your favorite daily deals sites (Living Social, Restaurant.com, Groupon, etc.) Using these type of discounts will usually save half off of your bill. Plus, you might be able to try a new restaurant together!
4. Dinner In and a Movie
5. Make It A Game
Once you decide on a restaurant, make it a game and see which of you can eat for the cheapest! (It may sound cheesy but it’s really fun! I dare you to try it!)
6. Go Out for Dessert
There may be times when your budget is tight and you can only afford a few dollars. I believe spending time together is the most important, so head to your favorite ice cream shop or bakery, grab a dessert and enjoy each other’s company!
How do you have a cheap date night?
